Thermal

I did this oil pastel drawing in 2023, during my senior year of high school. This was during a senior studio art class, so we were allowed to create whatever we wanted. I thought something with the thermal camera look would be interesting and with the use of hands it would give it a deeper/emotional appearance.
The target audience of this drawing is for anyone.

I used an image of hands against glass and added a thermal filter to it for my reference. I traced my hands for the size of the hands to give it a personal connection. I used oil pastels because they are bright and I thought it would really make the colors pop. I learned how to use oil pastels, as I had not used them prior. I also learned how contrasting colors can add a lot of vibrancy.
